A Figma redesign proposal for an online orthopedic products store: new visual language, updated components, product page, menu and blog.

Context

Ortopedia Para Ti is an online store for orthopedic products. Its menu organizes the catalog into Ofertas, Ortesis y Férulas, Ayudas para el hogar, Movilidad, Calzados y Plantillas, and Rehabilitación, and it also has a blog.

The store's visual language and components needed an update to offer a more contemporary, friendlier experience.

The challenge

Refresh the look and interface of a store with a broad catalog without starting from zero: what already existed had to be organized and given a more current, approachable appearance for people buying health and mobility products.

Goals

  • A more contemporary, friendlier look and feel.
  • Updated interface components that stay consistent across sections.
  • Key e-commerce screens resolved, including the product page and the menu.
  • A clear presentation of the blog content.

My role

I was responsible for the UX/UI design in Figma. Putting it into the site was not part of my work: what you see here is a design proposal, not a published site.

Constraints

  • An existing store, with its catalog and menu structure already defined.
  • Current elements that were worth reusing instead of redoing.
  • Scope limited to interface design: no coding and no go-live.

Process

  1. Review the current store: menu, categories, product page and blog.
  2. Define a new visual language for the brand in the e-commerce setting.
  3. Update the components and reuse the existing elements.
  4. Design the main screens and sections in Figma.

Key decisions

  • Reuse and reinterpret existing elements rather than replace them, so the proposal stays recognizable.
  • Treat the product page and the menu as core pieces, because they structure buying and catalog navigation.
  • Present the blog content with the same visual logic as the rest of the store.

The solution

A redesign proposal with a renewed look and feel and modernized components, applied to the main screens and sections of the e-commerce, including the product page, the menu and the blog layout.
